Concert – XVII Edition of “Rassegna Organistica Levantese”

In Levanto, continues the seventeenth edition of the “Rassegna Organistica Levantese”, and Saturday 21 September at 21.30 the protagonists will be the Swiss organist Niklaus König and the vocal group MusicaNova.

The concert will be held in the church of S. Andrea, with a program that includes music by Claudio Merulo, Georg Muffat, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Robert Führer, Louis James Alfred Lefébur-Wély and Adalbert Rihovsky.

Polyphonic Concert in Bonassola

From Tuesday 27 to Saturday 31 August a week of music in the baroque churches of Santa Caterina and S. Giorgio in Bonassola.
To inaugurate it the Musicanova Vocal Group, which will perform in a repertoire that from the Renaissance reaches the present day in the splendid corniche of the parish church of S. Caterina on August 27 at 9.00 pm.

Organ-choral concert for the XXV edition of “Rassegna Corale Levantese

Saturday 17 August, at 9.30 pm, the seventh and last appointment of the XXVth Rassegna Corale Levantese at the Church of Sant’Andrea di Levanto.

The protagonist will be the Vocal Group MusicaNova from Levanto, directed by Aldo Viviani, with the participation of:

Camilla Bonanini, Paolo Cimino and Mariana Rusnac (violins)

Polyphonic concert in Pallanza – Verbania

Saturday 11 May at 9 pm we will participate in the Choral Review of the church of San Leonardo in Pallanza – Verbania.
The protagonists of the musical evening, in addition to the MusicaNova Vocal Group, the Valgrande Choir of Cambiasca.

Admission is free.

“Passione in forma di Oratorio”

In occasion of the “Holy Week”, on April 18th at 9.00 pm the MusicaNova group, directed by Aldo Viviani, will propose a choral meditation on the text in the church of Sant’Andrea di Levanto (instead of the traditional “Via Crucis”) of the “Matthew’s second gospel“.
The Passion event will be relived with readings alternating vocal and instrumental passages, from medieval to polyphony, from spiritual to today’s music.
Passione in forma di Oratorio“, proposed as far back as 1993, is trying to see some young Levanto musicians such as Francesco Garibotti (clarinet), Dario Scopesi (organ) and Michele Tienni (trumpet).

Ma quale Guerra! Readings and music on war and peace

On Wednesday 16 January, at 3 pm, an afternoon of music and readings on war and peace will be held in the oratory of San Rocco (Piazza Cavour) in La Spezia in the company of the vocal group MusicaNova.

The group, directed by Aldo Viviani, will stage a review of songs with the reciting voice of Alberto Barilari and the musical accompaniment of Andrea Bracco (flutes and trumpet), Filippo Bordoni (clarinet), Mariana Rusnac (violin), Paola Martina (viola) and Elena Mazzone (cello).

The initiative is by the Municipality, the Biblion company and the vocal group MusicaNova.
