The XXV edition of the “Rassegna Corale Levantese” continues in Levanto with a concert by the South Bucks Choral Society of London.
Directed by the master Iain Ledingham of the Royal Academy of London, with the participation of the organist Gregory Drott , the English team will offer music by Bach, Britten, Haendel, Howells, Mendelsshon and Mozart .
The concert will be attended by the soloists Catriona Holsgrove and Amy Strachan (soprano), Eva Macfarlane and Julia Martinez (half- soprano), Alexander Gebhard (tenor) and Ben Knight (bass).

South Bucks Choral Society
The South Bucks Choral Society of Buckinghamshire (about 30 kilometers from central London) was founded in 1983 by lain Ledingham.
The choir is made up of a hundred singers, who have performed in the churches and the largest oratories of the region, both with professional orchestras and with famous soloists. Their recent repertoire includes among others Mozart’s Requiem, Haendel’s Samson and Messiah, Schubert’s Masses, Haydn, Mozart, the Weinachts Oratorium and Bach’s Passion according to Matthew, Mendelssohn’s Eliah oratory.
In November 2012 the South Bucks Choral Society and the Amersham Festival Chamber Orchestra presented the first English performance of Aldo Viviani’s Psalm 89 in London.
Iain Ledingham
He is a professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London with which he completed a ten-year project in 2018 that provided for the complete execution of all the Cantatas of J. S. Bach (over 200).
